Thank you to everyone for helping make our inaugural event such a success.

Over the past fifteen years, the rise of the World Wide Web has resulted in remarkable new possibilities and business models reshaping our culture and our economy. Now the time has come to reshape government. With the proliferation of issues and a scarcity of resources to address them all, leaders inside and outside government are turning to the principles of participation, collaboration, transparency, and efficiency to address the challenges facing our country and the world. This is the agenda of the Gov 2.0 Summit.

Who should attend?

Attendance at the Gov 2.0 Summit is by invitation. You may request an invitation here. The Summit seeks thought leaders and decision-makers from all levels of government, the information industry, not-for-profits, and academia, as well citizen creators of applications that illustrate the concept of government as a platform.

What will be discussed?

In talk-show style interviews with senior officials and executives, demos, case-studies, and networking events, the Summit will tackle:

• How can we use technology to make government more transparent and accountable?
• How do we bridge the culture of web innovation, forged around the world and in Silicon Valley, with the culture of political innovation?
• How do we focus the power of the technology community on solving the nation's most pressing problems?
• How can Web 2.0 approaches such as crowdsourcing and collaborative development create new models of public-private partnerships?
