Bev Godwin will discuss the collaboration on best web and new media practices across government agencies.
Bev Godwin is establishing a Center on New Media and Citizen Engagement in the Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies at GSA. Bev recently returned to GSA after a 6-month detail to the White House Office of New Media.
Prior to these posts, Bev served as: • Director, USA.gov and Web Best Practices, GSA • Deputy Director, National Partnership for Reinventing Government • Branch Chief, Budget Office, HHS • Lobbyist and consultant, American Public Welfare Association and MAXIMUS.
Bev received a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan; and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
Bev’s awards include: • Fellow, National Academy of Public Administration • American Society for Public Administration’s President’s Award • Neil Staebler Distinguished Award for Public Service • Federal Computer Week’s Fed 100 (twice) • Vice President Gore’s Hammer Award for Reinventing Government • Many awards for USA.gov, including the Innovations in American Government Award
Bev and her husband Jeff Jones live in Chevy Chase, Maryland with whatever combination of four “children” happen to live there at any given time.
